We primarily serve small to medium size companies, from 50 to 200 million euro in revenues, both family and private equity owned, who intend to review and revamp their strategic position and align their organization to their business plan.
Many companies try to grow in new business segments and technologies and, in doing so, lose their identity and focus on their core business. BWA supports the process of re-focusing on core business through both organic growth and M&A.
The main challenge for small and medium size companies remains the ability of the founder to manage the generational transition of the company. There is no standard formula and each succession plan needs to be tailored to the needs of the business. A balanced corporate governance assures the maintenance of an equilibrium between the various stakeholders and guarantees that management is free to run the business without distractions.
For projects where change is more difficult, BWA participates in the execution of the industrial plan that has been built together with the management and owners until measurable results have been achieved.
When the founder and management need non-executive support for the formulation and revision of corporate strategy and governance, BWA and its consultants continue to assist their client as external members of the Advisory Board and/or the Board of Directors.
